This week, we will have three sessions. For younger and less experienced riders, Sarfraz and Ian Murray will be leading a session each (two groups). Ian's session is based on balance and coordination plus group riding off road.  Sarfraz will continue his series of linked sessions.

Sorry for my delay in posting this session to be delivered tomorrow.  We are aiming this one at the very young Go Ride group and the main content at the Intermediates.  Older/Advanced riders will be led off-road by Tony F. 

I'm appealing for parent helpers to come forward tomorrow - we need helpers to assist the coaches to make the maximum impact by supporting the session. You may not be a coach, but if you know what to look for, you can be of enormous help - so come on and try it!  Beats drinking coffee......(well no, it doesn't).

British Cycling is running a limited places camp next week on
the following days, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at Hetton Lyons racing
circuit.  This camp had previously been advertised as a 4 day course but has
been cut down to three days.  To keep the numbers at a manageable level the camp
will be restricted to the following categories U16, U14 & U12 and will be a
road racing specific course.

This week's session is designed to enable riders to use most of the things they have been practising this season.  Please bring a bottle with you, preferably full - because it may well be hot.  I am hoping that if we have sufficient coaches and helpers, a separate "Go-Ride" session will be available for our younger riders.

Coaching continues this Saturday with some road race tactics. We will recap the important skills of riding at the correct cadence and riding in a group before moving on to riding in the wind, taking bottles and recovering back to the group after a puncture.

Coaching continues this week with a session on acceleration and sprinting. We will be concentrating on leg speed and tactics for most of the session, but there will be an opportunity for a burn-up at the end as well!
