Emzy`s I can't think of a name for this blog Blog!

Hiya Everyone,

Since my last blog nothing much has really happened.

Before the school holidays in October I went back down to Manchester to train with Eastlands Velo on the Saturday morning. Myself and Emma B stayed the Friday night in a travelodge because we had to be on the track at 8 in the morning. After the 3 hour session I travelled all the way down to my cousins in London. I spent the whole week with my cousins without my mam and dad, it was a great laugh. I spent most nights going to the local gym or going out for a run. It was good to have a change in your training environment.

The Saturday after, instead of the Hetton session some people went to Hamsterley forest mountain biking. By the sounds of things lots of people seemed to enjoy it. Sorry I could not make it. I would of loved to go and get my mountain bike off the hook in the garage and out for a ride it would have been good fun. Hope everyone enjoyed it. I was unfortunatly travelling home.

Last Thursday I went to Gateshead to join the cyclo-cross session. It was really good but very muddy and really hard work. Jamie B decided to get Thomas back for making him ride through a river at Hamsterley where it was deep enough to cover his feet. So Jamie got a handful of mud and smouthered it all over Thomas`s face. He looked like he had face planted the floor in a puddle of mud!!

Training in the dark is really weird but I think I ride better. Alex thinks the same, not being able to see the obstacles allows you to ride over them but in the light I always ride around them too carefully. Maybe I should race cross blindfolded!!

My dad did not what to get his new bike dirty so I decided to take the long route out training and take him up the farm at Hetton. The muddiest way possible. I can't describe the look on his face when he saw the mud, I thought he was going to cry. As soon as he got home he filled the bucket with hot soapy water and washed the bike as carefully as possible!!!

On Sunday was the first NECCA cyclo-cross race at Hetton. It was a good course and although hard it was really enjoyable. We had a good turn out with some racing for the first time. Well done everyone. Josh has already covered the results. Thanks Josh thats one job less!

This week we have dark cross training at Gateshead, track or training on Saturday and cross racing at Darlington on Sunday. If you want to ride the North of England Cyclo-cross Championships at Hetton on 7th December then get your entry form into Keith Murray by the 17th Nov. No entry on the line and full details can be found on the events calender on the British Cycling website. Follow the link on our website.
We will be needing edible donations for the tuckshop so get your mums and grannies baking!!!

I'm off to bed now. See you all soon
