Hetton Coaching Session - Saturday 16th August
Hi all you budding road warriors! I'm leading a long session this Saturday covering Downhill Braking and Cornering and going downhill in general. This is suitable to all who did my last session a fortnight ago.
I will use the main climb up to the usual finish line - this is nice and open and will give us the chance to create some difficulty. See both session plans, which I've uploaded to the site and are attached here.
I would like some help from one of our parents to marshal the start or turns, so I can observe technique.
Alex and Steve Walton are rota'd to coach - if numbers are big enough, we may split the group and the sessions can be delivered to older and younger groups. However, this certainly wasn't a problem a fortnight ago - except that we nearly had to fish Joe Curran out of the lake! (That was nearly a lot of paperwork folks).
Due to a typing error last time, many turned up early and were entertained by Jamie - for which thanks. To be clear this time: start will be 9.30am and finish will be somewhere after 12noon. I'd like a riding warm up and a bit of a game just to get everyone's attention.
Think that's it - see next story for the riders who can ride the open road. See you Saturday!
