Hiya Everyone,
I'm really sorry my blog is late I've never had a chance to get on the computer because I have had my SAT`s and I've been so busy racing and everything. So here it goes.
Well my blog starts 2 weeks ago at Bradford's Richard Dunn Sports Centre. It was the BSCA North-East and Yorkshire Circuit Race Championships. It was a really sunny day, some of us caught the sun and I got my tan line back which I have been trying to get rid of after last summer. Emma B came 4th overall and first girl in the U10 age group she beat most of the lads (come on the girls!!!). Well done Emma. Well done to everyone else, it was great to see the Hawks well represented, you all did really well (come on the hawks!!!). I came first girl in the U14. I stayed with a girl who I go to the track with on a Friday night we worked together until about 6 laps to go, but I got dropped. Thankfully she was U16 so that left me OK.
It was a great day finished off with fish and chips at Wetherby down by the river.
The Isle of Man Youth Tour was the same weekend. The North East was represented by Harry and Charlie T and Alex Hopper. Well done to all 3, Charlie came first in his category with Harry third and I think Alex 10th in theres. It was a very good field. I wish I had been there, its really good and I would recommend it to any Hawks who want to ride it in the future.
Last Saturday some of us returned back to Bradford again, same venue for, A Day at the Races.
We had Hawks in every race except the U16. We all did very well. I still haven't got the full results they are sending them out and I was warming up for some of the time.
I will post them when they arrive.
There was a crash at the start of my race bringing a girl off and I nearly went over my handle bars but I stayed upright and managed to hang onto the back of the bunch for a while. It was a really fast race. Harry won, with Josh coming 6th and Alex Hopper close behind. I'm not sure where I came. I was first U14 girl but after the girl came off it only left me and one other. I hope the girl has recovered I think she was called Hannah.
The weather was the opposite of the week before, cold and wet but it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. We had Hot Dogs at the race and had stayed over the night before in Manchester after the track accreditation.
We are going back to the Track tomorrow our 5th session and are hoping to get accredited.
The week nights are took up with training, League 2000, Croft and the Grass Track so there is always something to do.
Saturdays session at Hetton is going to be well attended with more girls I hope. I think the Raws are coming so that will be good. Hope to see you all there.
Love from
