Hiya Everyone,
On Saturday there was no training at Hetton instead it was the first of the Hetton handicapped CX race series. It was a good turnout due to no local race and the 3 Peaks being cancelled. There was a mixture of youth, juniors and seniors racing together. The handicapper was very generous to the U14s making it very difficult for anyone to catch us. I don't think we will be that lucky in the next race. It was the first time many of us had rode against the Seniors. It was really good.
If anyone in intersted the Sunderland family bike ride club are organising a fortnightly ride on a Sunday starting October 14 distances starting from 12 miles to the longest a 48 miles. I have done some of these over the summer and they are a good fun for the younger members and familys as the pace is usally easy.
I have had some good prizes in for the raffle at the presentation night however a few more wouldn't go a miss.
See you at training on Saturday and the Darlington round of the NECCL on Sunday.
love Emma T
