Coaching Saturday 24th July - Bike Maintenance: Tune, Clean and Polish

This Saturday, we've got a few things to do whilst the sausages and burgers are burning (sorry, cooking).  A
bike tune-up session is planned - so coaches should bring tools and
lubes, plus a track pump and turbo trainer or bike stand if you have
them.

Riders will need their bikes (yes) a multi-tool, your "preferred
lubricant" (mine's a pint) - such as WD40 or other well-known product.
Bring some rags - one for dirt and one for polishing.

Riders don't have to do their bikes if you don't want, but it's a chance to learn what to look for when doing basic bike maintenance.  We aim to do a couple of demonstrations, where the riders will show the parents what they have learned.

This is also a chance for coaches to pass on their favourite maintenance and cleaning tips.  A summary of the main points of the maintenance session, plus a bike check list, can be downloaded with this article.

See you all there tomorrow - we'll probably have some small groups riding on the track or maybe even the dreaded Box Game!
