Joes Southport Race
Hello everyone - I thought you might like to know how I got on in my race on Saturday. First of all it was a verrrrry early morning, I was up at 4.30 am to get on my travels for 5.30 am, signing on was at 9 am at Southport for my race. There were about 29 pre-entries then another 16 or so signed on the line, making there about 45 in my race, which was scary. There were two races for each age cat. The first one was 6 laps where I did well, the second race was a lot longer and I got off on a good start near the front line and about 8 laps in there was a crash, with two riders. The race was stopped for half an hour because they had to call for an ambulance and the rider was stretchered away with a neck brace on, I hope they're OK. While we were waiting for the race to start again, I was on my rollers, there was a lot of rollering going on. The race started back up but the lapped riders had to stop out of it, I wasnt lapped so I was back in the race. We did another 7 laps, hard work, but I think I finished 16th out of the 45. That was my first U14 road race, racing kids from around the country, I'm doing a lot training so should improve on that position, but well done everyone who raced. Well done Matty Worton who was there too, although I did beat him. :-) only just though.

Just looked at the results
Just looked at the results for both races and noticed Matty Worton beat me in the first race. So we both beat each other that day. OUCH (not beat each other up)
Well Done !
Well Done to both of yous! Much better punctuation than Josh! Haha, only joking!
