UPDATED Hamsterley Ride Saturday 13th February and Coaching at Hetton
Hi, further to this article: I can now confirm that a Go-Ride off road will be available led by Ian Maitland with Joanne Danby (Club Welfare Officer) assisting. In addition, John Davidson will be doing some riding on the road circuit for those who want to dust off their road legs in preparation for the 20th (see Coaching Programme story) Many thanks to Ian, Joanne and John for providing something for those that can't make it to Hamsterley.
This means I can go to Hamsterley (yippee) We have Dave, Alex, Scot and Tony F all there, with friends and relations, so see you there - regards, Tony
The club is organising a ride to Hamsterley this week, with a Go-Ride session at Hetton for those who can't make it.
The Hamsterley ride will meet at the main car park at 10am for a 10.15 start. Hopefully we can offer a couple of alternatives to suit various people. I have to confess that I'm not an expert at off road routes in Hamsterley, having not done them for a few years. I usually steam in to the cafe from a morning pounding the roads, but I'm sure that someone will know. I've targeted a couple of our coaches who know better than me.
It will be the "usual drill" for our club ride - bring food and/or cash; make sure your bike is up to the challenge and that you have a puncture repair kit and tools.
I would appreciate a quick e-mail on tony.hodgson@cyclecoachingnorth.org.uk or text on 07871 445289 to confirm numbers.
See next story for details of the next few weeks.
Cheers,
Tony Hodgson
