This Saturday some of the Hawks went up to Kielder for a ride around the reservior. It was very cold but it didn't rain and the sun came out for us. It was 26 miles all off road and would be a great annual Hetton family ride as even my mam managed to do it. There were a lot of stops for a drink and something to munch on. Further on in the ride, we ended up at Santa's Grotto and the little elves weren't looking very happy as we weren't meant to be along there! Thanks to Dave and Nigel for organising a great day out.
On Sunday we went to Richmond School for a cyclo cross race which was part of the Yorkshire League. It was raining cats & dogs and a few elephants too. Once again, it was a good turn out for the Hetton riders despite the horrendous weather. Every was freezing cold and very muddy.
Well done to everyone who was brave enough to ride.
