After two weeks of frantic racing around the track, we will return to more structured coaching this Saturday. One of the things that the coaches have noticed over the last two weeks is that lots of riders choose the wrong gear - often too high a gear - and end up with a very slow cadence (or leg speed). So this week, we will be concentrating on leg speed and gear selection. You will get a chance to put all of this into practice in a one lap time trial (TT). We will do this several times over the summer, so you can check how you are progressing as the weather gets warmer.

Hiya. As I said I would get on my bike, I actually did on Tuesday & Thursday, at Newburn, last week. Even though Jamie nearly killed me on the Tuesday- because I'm now soo unfit- I quite enjoyed it. I'm not going tonight but I'll be going on Thursday night.
I haven't got time to write anything else becsause my mam is chucking me out the house so we can go to Asda & IKEA. Great! :(

I'm doing the Dolan Race Series on Saturdays at the minute, there are 3 races to do. The first race went OK. Charlie Tanfield won U14 by a long shot. There were 29 riders in my race, first we had a 12 lap race then our second race was another 12 laps, all on the flat though. When I checked my bike computer for that days racing including my rollering and warming up before and in between the two races, I did 51 mile. So on Sunday I did absolutely NOWT.

We have been sent a flyer for these events in Kelso, Scotland.  Something of a drive, but the events themselves are dirt cheap.
