Joe's (other one) and Ali's Blog

Hi everyone.

I didn’t go to the race at Grizedale last weekend, so I thought I’d be lazy and get someone else to do my work for me! Guest writers Joe and Ali are here this week, and here’s Joe’s blog first.

Hi everyone.

Thanks to Nigel, Tony and Alex for taking the session on Saturday. It was the first time I’d been training at Hetton for ages and I enjoyed it. I was taking my road bike out of the garage to put it in the car and discovered the freewheel had seized up, so it was like riding a fixed wheel! I had to do the session on my ‘cross bike instead but I forgot to take my mtb shoes, so I had to do the first part of the session in trainers which wasn’t very comfy. My dad brought my shoes through for me later, though, so the second part of the session was OK. We had a handicapped race where we all split up into teams and had to chase each other down for four laps. I was with Alex and Tony who did all the work for me on the first lap, but then Alex started to suffer so he dropped back. I hung onto Tony’s wheel for the rest of the race and was very tired by the end of it.

Hi everyone.

Sorry I haven’t written anything in a while but I’ve had exams so I’ve been revising quite a bit. I did my last exam for this year this afternoon, so I can relax for a bit now. I’ve got the rest of the week off school so that will give me plenty of time to waste, but I’ve got to go back next week.

Hi everyone.

I was really angry with myself yesterday afternoon. I spent ages writing a blog and I just had a couple more lines to write when I accidentally went back a page. I clicked on the forward button to try and get it back, but it was gone forever! It's not the first time I've done it, so I'm going to have to be more careful. I was going to write another one, but I left it for today and did some revision instead.

Hi everyone.

Thanks to Tony for taking the older training this Saturday. I really enjoyed it. We left the wimps who don't like doing anything that gets them out of breath (I won't mention his name but it begins with Jo and ends with sh!). Anyway, there was a decent group of us who went out on the roads - Kier, Edward, James, Ali, Alex, Tony and I.
