Some riders from Hetton traveled down to Preston today for the national circuit race championships here are the results:
This is what i know so far.

U8 boys.
4th Ben Moody

U10 girls:
2nd Emma Brady

U10 Boys:
2nd Thomas Mein
9th Jake Moody

U12 boys:
1st Charlie Tanfield *** National Champion whoo! ***

U14 boys:
2nd Harry Tanfield

Josh rode as well but heard he had a bad one. never mind josh happens sometimes.

Horwich Road race took place 22/6/08 and the Hawks were well represented. Emma B came first girl in the Under 10's and Thomas Mein had a good race coming 2nd in the same category.
Joe Mann came 4th in the under 12's with Charlie T winning that category. Harry came 2nd in the under 14's. I didn't go but everyone says the carnival atmosphere is really good.

Last weekend the same contenders plus the Moody's went to Curborough to race again!! Again we did well with excellent performances from everyone. The Hetton Hawks kit must be getting noticed now!!!!

Some great news-Jake and Josh Moody, Keir, Emma B, Alex H and myself have all past our Track Accreditation at Manchester Velodrome. I think we might be the first Hawks to acheive it. It means we can train and race on the track confident that we know what we are doing and most important we will be able to do it safely. Congrats to all and thanks to our parents for doing all the traveling!!!

Emma B took advantage and went to her first track race with the Tanfields to Dundee. She really enjoyed it and came 3rd in the U10's. Harry was 4th and Charlie 1st.

I'm really sorry my blog is late I've never had a chance to get on the computer because I have had my SAT`s and I've been so busy racing and everything. So here it goes.

Sorry my blog is late but I've been busy with my SAT`s and revision and such like.

Lets start with Croft last Tuesday. Lots of Hetton riders turned up for the handicapped races at the motor racing circuit which ended in a bunch sprint won by Alex with Charlie T second and me third.

Following my crash I was back on my bike after 5 days. My whole body hurt everywhere but slowly improved. Thanks again to everyone for their good wishes.

Last Saturday was the Hetton Spring Classic, I hope everyone has thawed out-its the worst weather I have ever seen at Hetton. Congratulations to all who rode, it was a great turnout despite the conditions. Well done to all who helped, thank you for giving up your time-it wouldn't happen otherwise.
