Joes Southport Race

Hello everyone - I thought you might like to know how I got on in my race on Saturday. First of all it was a verrrrry early morning, I was up at 4.30 am to get on my travels for 5.30 am, signing on was at 9 am at Southport for my race. There were about 29 pre-entries then another 16 or so signed on the line, making there about 45 in my race, which was scary. There were two races for each age cat. The first one was 6 laps where I did well, the second race was a lot longer and I got off on a good start near the front line and about 8 laps in there was a crash, with two riders.

Joes Blog - Presentation Nights

Last week we had a couple of presentation nights for the cross races....
TLI Presentation - me and Elliot came joint 3rd and came away with a certificate and a goodie bag, and I won a jigsaw on the raffle. So I'm afraid my dad hasnt been training much this week because he's spent pretty much all of his spare time on the jigsaw. Its called Parcel for Canal Cottage :-) its sort of a biking theme as it has two bikes in the picture (yeah right..) Anybody wanting it next, please leave your details HAHA.

Croft BC Race

The usual suspects turned out for this, the 1st road race of the season, the weather was spot on. There was even a burger van to keep us topped up with burgers, chips, chicken nuggets and drinks. The U14 winner was Matty Worton, U12 winner was Angus Brown, U10 winner was Paul Errington and U8 winner was Aaron Brown. Notice anything?????

The Captains Blog

WOOHOO I'm back on the blogs. I've been up to loads of stuff lately but havent been able to access the site, so here goes......I'm doing mountain bike training on Wednesday nights through school, we have a BC Coach who comes and takes the session. Some nights for a change we take our BMX's and one night there was only me because one lad broke his ankle falling out of bed and one lad popped his knee out playing footie and the others just had feeble excuses, one lad was in a huff.

Katie's Blog

Sorry I haven't done a blog in ages. Haven't been up to much since Christmas. There's been a couple of races and they were cold and snowy! On the Sunday after Christmas, we went to Macclesfield, somewhere near Manchester, for the Macclesfield Super Cross. The snow was really heavy for Emma B and Thomas M's race. There was loads of tired faces coming up the slippery bank. Everyone was fed up with the snow and were complaining of cold feet! After their race, me and Emma and Jackie and my mam sat in Jamie's van, with the heating on full!
