Coaching session 25th April

Coaching continues this week with a look at climbing and descending. When to stand and when to sit when climbing and how to get down that hill safely and quickly. More advanced riders will be doing all of this in groups and thinking about race positioning as well as the basic techniques.

This is my blog about last weekend. It was good to get back on our road bikes after that long cross season. Some of the bigger guys went out and did a road session while we did through and off and got used to our bikes again.

If getting really dirty, wet, cold and covered in mud isn’t your thing, you would probably prefer the road training Hetton Hawks have to offer. All of the training is on a closed, asphalt surfaced circuit in Hetton Lyons Country Park.

 

If you want to come along and learn loads of new skills, turn up in the spring in the main car park (see website closer to the time for exact details of when the road training begins).
